Step 1: Press the "Home" button or power button on your iPad to view the lock screen. Then, move the slider to the right to unlock the iPad.

Step 2: Hold down your finger on the folder you want to rename until it starts to shake. When it starts to shake, lift your finger up.

Step 3: Tap on the folder you want to rename. The “edit” window will appear. Tap the x located at the end of the field with the folder name in it (see screenshot below).

Step 4: Tap on the white bar that contains the name of the folder above all the apps in the folder.The Keypad will pop up and you may use the keyboard to rename the folder on iPad.

Step 5: Tap on the "Home" button once after you rename folder on iPad. Press the "Home" button again to close the folder.
