The iPad supports H.264, .m4v, .mp4, .mov, MPEG-4, M-JPEG and some .avi movie files. All of these files are subject to size limitations, so if you have a file in one of these formats that will not play on your iPad, it may exceed the size restrictions. * Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format.
