To Reset All Settings:
This will reset all preferences and settings. Actual data like calendars, media, and contacts are not deleted. Choose: General > Reset, then tap Reset All Settings.

To Erase All Content and Settings: This resets all settings to their original values and erases all your information and media. Choose: General > Reset, then tap Erase All Content and Settings.

To reset the Home screen layout: If you simply like to reset the Home screen layout to the default setting, Choose: General > Reset, then tap Reset Home Screen Layout.

Step 1. hold down the hold and home buttons at the same time. The hold button is on the top right corner of the iPad’s case. The home button is the circular button just under the screen on the center of the iPad.

Step 2. Hold these buttons down until the screen flashes and goes dark. Then a red slider will appear at the top of the screen.

Step 3. If the slider appears, you can slide it to the right to turn off the iPad.
